Dr. Mike Steinmetz received his Bachelor’s degree in biology from St. John’s University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He continued his education and completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Steinmetz is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Steinmetz is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association. He has been a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard since 2009 and continues to provide dental support for Minnesota’s soldiers.
Dr. Steinmetz has experience providing dental care for children in a clinic setting, as well as under moderate sedation and general anesthesia. He has provided dental care for children in several Minnesota communities including the Twin Cities, central Minnesota and Duluth. He is now providing dental care for the children in west central Minnesota, taking over the former practice of Dr. Stephen Whoolery.
Dr. Steinmetz, his wife Jane, and daughter Bella, enjoy all that this beautiful area has to offer! In his spare time, you can find Dr. Steinmetz boating, fishing, hunting, making maple syrup in the spring, or watching football.
