Dr. Steinmetz and his staff at Lakes Area Pediatric Dentistry would like to thank you for your patience and understanding over the last 2 months during the COVID-19 closures.
Governor Walz issued Emergency Executive Order 20-51 which allows dental offices to resume elective dental care as of May 11, 2020. It also requires that dental and medical offices follow new policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, parents, and staff members.
In compliance with the American Board of Dentistry, the CDC, and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, we have made numerous safety accommodations. We hope that these changes help you to feel safe and secure when entering our office to receive dental treatment.
When checking in upon arriving, patients are screened and temperatures are taken. If there is any fever above 100.4 or any sign of illness, we will ask that you reschedule your child. We ask that masks be worn at all times while in the office. In addition, families are to wait in their vehicles until each patient is called in for their individual appointments.
Thank you for following these guidelines and helping to ensure a healthy, safe, and comfortable environment! Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions or concerns.
