Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a pediatric dentist and a general dentist?
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. They have two to three years of specialty training following dental school, and limits his/her practice to treating children. Pediatric dentists are primary and specialty providers for infants, children and adolescents including those with special health needs. They can treat children under sedation or general anesthesia if the child cannot tolerate treatment in the office.
They monitor growth and development and help guide growing mouths to adulthood. We love working with children and are experts in children’s dental care!
